London Broncos Select 54-8 Army Rugby League
Trailfinders Sports Ground
A youthful London Broncos team defeated the Army at Vallis Way on Saturday afternoon. U19s head coach Jamie Langley fielded a side with 6 first teamers in there with Will Lovell making his return to the Broncos since 2014 and aussie Alex Mammone making his uncompetitive debut. Matt Davis played his first game in a while since a lengthy injury and newly promoted to the first team Sid Adebeyi and Callum Bustin shook off some cobwebs from pre-season.
The Broncos got off to a flying start with 3 tries in the opening 10 minutes with efforts from Pearce-Paul, Ogden and Hindmarsh. Amateur opposition, the Army, replied with a try of their own from Salter on the 18th minute. London added a 4th try through Butler before the break. HT | London 20-4 Army RL.
Langley's men started the second half with the same intensity adding 4 tries to their tally through Boafo, Mammone, Bustin and Pearce-Paul for his brace. The Army replied with their second try of the match through O'Keefe on the 77th minute to make it 48-8.
